What You Will Learn:
How Waves Work: Discover where, how, and what to observe in waves. Learn to interpret ocean conditions to maximize your performance.
How Boards Work: Understand the key differences in shapes, fins, curves, and how shifting your weight affects board performance in the water, especially in longboarding, where single-fins and larger, more stable boards are often used.
Specific Longboard Techniques: Master iconic longboard maneuvers such as the cross-step and noseriding. Learn how to control your weight distribution and balance while moving towards the nose of the board, perfecting the art of trimming and maintaining speed down the line. You’ll also work on cutbacks and bottom turns, crucial for maintaining flow and positioning on the wave.
Basic Techniques: Optimize your paddle, vary your take-off, and master turning, trimming, and cross-stepping with efficiency.
Importance of Visualization and Exercises: Explore how visualizing movements and specific exercises, particularly tailored for longboarding, can positively influence your ability to execute classic maneuvers, like the hang five and hang ten.
Surf Etiquette and Safety: Grasp the fundamental rules of water etiquette, essential for longboarders sharing waves with shortboarders and other surfers, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable session for everyone.
Wave and Condition Analysis: Gain in-depth knowledge about reading waves and ocean conditions in Kabalana, a beach known for its consistent and accessible waves for all levels. Learn how to pick the best longboard waves, focusing on sections that allow for smooth and prolonged rides.
Daily Video Analysis: Record and review your longboarding sessions daily, receiving detailed feedback from our instructors on specific maneuvers like the noseride, cross-step technique, and flow, to refine your style and execution.
Breathing and Balance Classes: Enhance your endurance and control with breathing techniques and balance training on boards outside of the water. These exercises will directly support your ability to maintain stability during complex longboard maneuvers.

Our Lodge offers 12 spacious and luxurious rooms, each room has an AC, a private toilet and shower and lots and lots of style!

The Lodge is a boutique resort designed to keep your privacy and comfort while all the room are located separately around the lodge garden.

4 twin Rooms, 4 double/triple rooms and 4 family rooms are available on each week, so you can choose the type of experience you wish. The family rooms are also used as shared rooms for the guests who wish to meet & interact with new people from around the world.

The lodge is located on the main road in front of the beach, just 5 minutes walk from South Point & Kabalana main break, 2 of our favorite spots on any given day.
